California Girls is a JH Movie Collection short film directed by George Gipson, who is returned from Friendsformania's direction, and produced by Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios. The short stars Daryl Sabara, Tom Cruise, Nina Dobrev, Charlet Chung, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Hailee Steinfeld, Ava Max, Maya Erskine, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Andy Samberg and Ryan Potter. It was the second short film in the JH Movie Collection Movie franchise to be distributed by Sony Pictures, after Animapets. Released by Columbia Pictures, the short serves an epilogue of the fifth film, Friendsformania and a sneak preview of the sixth and final film, The JH Movie Collection Movie: Homecoming.

The short was released in theaters on May 27, 2022, with Voltron.
