Famous 5: A New Mystery is a 2022 American computer-animated mystery adventure action comedy film loosely based on the novels of the same name created by Enid Blyton. It's a sequel to 2021's Famous 5 and a continuation to 2008's Famous 5: On the Case. Produced by Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios, it was the second installment of the Famous 5 film series. Hailee Steinfeld, Rihanna, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Shawn Mendes and Frank Welker will reprise their roles for the first film.
Famous 5: A New Mystery premiered at Regency Village Theater on October 28, 2022, and was released in the United States on November 4, 2022, by Sony Pictures Releasing via its Columbia Pictures label. Like its predecessor, a sequel received acclaim from critics for its animation, voice acting, music, Gaghan's direction, pacing and LGBT representation. It was also a commercial success, grossing $385.2 million worldwide against its $80 million budget. A sequel, Famous 5: Mystery Together, is set for release on November 29, 2024.

Animation[]
Inspiration for the design of the film came from Sony Pictures Animation's Vivo and Netflix/Aniventure's Riverdance: The Animated Adventure, which opened an opportunity for Movie Land to pitch something that was more illustrative and stylized than their other films. While Movie Land Digital Production Services (MLDPS) handled the computer animation services, after previously worked on the first film, Technicolor Animation Productions handled the additional asset production services using proprietary softwares like Pixar RenderMan and Blender. The production team used computer animation to create a CGI version of the characters from the 2008 British/French animated television series, Famous 5: On the Case.
Music[]
Henry Jackman, Rupert Gregson-Williams, Lorne Balfe and Tom Holkenborg returned to be hired as a film's score, after previously working on the first film, Famous 5. The soundtrack album was released on November 2, 2022 by RCA Records, while the film's score album was released the same day by Sony Classical.
