Germaine Franco is a film composer.[1] She began composing as a student at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, where she graduated from in 1984.[2][3] She is the first Latina to join the music branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.[4] Her most prominent work includes Coco, Tag, Dope, Vida, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, and Little.[5][6]
