JH Egg-Scapade Collection is a 2022 American computer-animated television special, directed by George Gipson and produced by Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios. Most of the actors reprise their roles from the previous installments. This Easter special takes place between Friendsformania and Homecoming.

It premiered on Amazon Prime Video on April 8, 2022.

Development

An Easter special to The JH Movie Collection Show was announced in April 2021, with George Gipson returned to direct the special after JH Movie Collection's Christmas Caper and JH Valentine Collection.

Animation

Animation for the Easter special was produced by CGCG Inc. in Taiwan and 88 Pictures in India, who have used computer animation similar to Wizards: Tales of Arcadia and Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. Programs such as V-Ray, Autodesk Maya, and Nuke were used to create the special.

Music

Henry Jackman (who returned from the special) was announced as the series composer. The soundtrack album was released digitally and on streaming on April 7, 2022.

Marketing

The official trailer for the series was released on March 27, 2022.

Release

JH Egg-Scapade Collection debuted on April 8, 2022, releasing weekly on Friday. It was released on DVD on April 12, 2022 by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Reception

JH Egg-Scapade Collection received positive reviews from critics. The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported a 87% approval rating with an average score of 6.20/10 based on 26 critic reviews. Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned a score of 73 out of 100 based on 9 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews".
