JH Valentine Collection is a 2022 computer-animated Valentine's Day short film starring the characters from the JH Movie Collection film series, taking places between the events of Friendsformania and Homecoming. Produced by Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios, it was directed and written by George Gipson.

The special premiered at Cinemark Theatres on the weekend following January 28, 2022, before select PG-rated films, and was released by Amazon Studios on Prime Video on February 4, 2022 to critical acclaim from critics.

Production

Animation services were handled by MLDPS's Kumar Coca in Mumbai. Henry Jackman was revealed to be the composer for the film on December 2, 2021. The soundtrack was released on January 28, 2022.

Release

JH Valentine Collection premiered at Cinemark Theatres on the weekend following January 28, 2022, before select PG-rated films, and was released by Amazon Studios on Prime Video on February 4, 2022. On January 6, 2024, Movie Land released the shorts in theaters in front of the IMAX re-release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on January 19, 2024.

Home media

JH Valentine Collection was released for purchase on DVD and Blu-ray on January 17, 2023 by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Its bonus material contains a sneak preview of The Tibet Code and three mini-movies (Hoverboard from The JH Movie Collection Movie, Addison's Live Stream from The Second Part and The Bunnies in a Christmas Caper).

Reception

On Rotten Tomatoes, JH Valentine Collection held a rating of "100%" with 12 critics being positive. On Metacritic, the short holds a rating of 82 out of 100 with nine critics, indicating "universal acclaim".
