Jeff is a 2022 American animated fantasy comedy film directed by William Friedkin from screenplay by Mark Bomback. The film stars Jaeden Martell as voice of Jeff, a homeless teenager who ended up in Victorville, California an outpost that is in desperate need of a new heroes. The cast also features the voices of Laine MacNeil, Matthew Lillard, Dick Van Dyke, Violet McGraw, Scarlett Johansson, Judd Nelson, Ian McKellen and Sebastian Stan.

The planned release on June 18, 2021, was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Jeff premiered at Beyond Fest on September 17, 2022, and was theatrically released in the United States on October 5, 2022 in 2D and RealD 3D formats alongside a one-month streaming release on HBO Max. It was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 34th Producers Guild of America Awards, 76th British Academy Film Awards & the 95th Academy Awards and won the category at the 28th Critics' Choice Awards. Sony Pictures for $120 million, due to rising cases of the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant in the United States.

On November 21, 2017, the film was scheduled to be theatrically released on November 21, 2021.[3] On Febuary 14, 2019, the film's theatrical release date was moved a month earlier, to December 6, 2021.[4] On October 12, 2019, the film's theatrical release date was moved to May 13, 2021,[5] only to be delayed to May 12, 2021, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Jeff also became Sony's first film to have virtual IMAX cameras in its progress.

Home media[]

Jeff was released on digital and digital download by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on November 17, 2022, with Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray, and DVD releases following on November 12. All releases include an animated short film entitled Live Stream. The Ultra HD Blu-ray version was the first release of its kind to be IMAX enhanced.[6]
