Jin (also known as Jin: An Abominable Spinoff Movie) is a 2020 computer-animated adventure comedy film directed by Panat Thamrongsombutsakul, former character effects artist at DWA Glendale for 2010's Shrek Forever After and Megamind, and 2011's Puss in Boots, for his directorial debut.
It's a spin-off to Abominable and produced by DreamWorks Animation, Movie Land Animation Studios and Pearl Studio. It stars the voice of Tenzing Norgay Trainor. The film was released on August 28, 2020 in the United States by Universal Pictures via its DreamWorks Animation label.

A spin-off to Abominable was announced on November 2017 to develop the spin-off film featuring Tenzing Norgay Trainor as Jin, with DWA's former character effects artist, Panat Thamrongsombutsakul is served to direct the film for his directorial debut in the movie. It was set to be released on August 28, 2020 by Universal Pictures via its DreamWorks Animation label. Jill Culton will return to serve as a writer.

On February 25, 2020, it was announced that Henry Jackman and Rupert Gregson-Williams, who were previously collaborated on 2019's The Crown and Rupert was collaborated on Over the Hedge, Bee Movie and Abominable, has signed in to compose the film score. It was announced that Rupert Gregson-Williams will return to serve as a score composer.
Release[]
Jin was released on August 28, 2020 in IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, Dolby Cinema, RealD 3D and 2D theaters.
Just like Trolls World Tour, it would be simultaneously released via video on demand on the same date as the film's theatrical release as follows an impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cinema.

On February 26, 2020, DreamWorks Animation released the teaser poster. Two days later, the first trailer was released on February 28, 2020 in the United States. The second trailer was released on June 30, 2020 in the United States.

Jin from DreamWorks Animation's Abominable was released on Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD on November 17, 2020 by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
