Krishna and the Twelve Elements is a 2023 computer-animated science fantasy adventure film produced by Warner Animation Group, Movie Land Animation Studios and Kumar Coca. It's a sequel to 2021's Krishna and the Last Lion. Directed by Carlos López Estrada returned from the first film's direction, with the writers of Jared Stern, Qui Nguyen, Adele Lim, Carlos López Estrada and Rodney Rothman, Jared Stern replaced William Renschen as a film director, due to his high-school graduation. The ninth feature-length film from Kumar Coca, Christina Hendricks, Chloe Bennet, Jamie Chung and Isaac Wong reprised their roles from the first film, with newcomers such as Anthony Ramos, Sean Hayes, Colin O'Donoghue, Alfred Molina, and Ryan Potter.
Krishna and the Twelve Elements premiered at the Hollywood on February 17, 2023, and was released on March 10, 2023, by Warner Bros. Pictures via its Movie Land Animation Studios label. Like its predecessor, the film received positive reviews from critics for its animation, humor, action sequences and world buildings, and was a commercial success, grossing $472.4 million against its $80 million budget.
Plot[]
Several months, after Krishna restore their rings, they celebrate Krishna's victory and welcomes to their villages, cities and towns of Mumbai.

Production[]
In May 2021, Movie Land Animation Studios and Kumar Coca announced that a sequel to Krishna and the Last Lion was in development, as follows the response of the first film's successive reception, with Carlos López Estrada returned to direct. Christina Hendricks, Chloe Bennet, Jamie Chung and Isaac Wong will return to play the first film's voice roles, while the newcomers Anthony Ramos, Sean Hayes, Isaac Wong, Colin O'Donoghue, Alfred Molina and Ryan Potter joined the casts. On August 23, 2022, following the success of the first film, Warner Animation Group announced to release the film under their banner, despite having dropped out of co-producing the project beforehand and had not co-produced the first film either.
Movie Land Digital Production Services (MLDPS) and Kumar Coca returned to animate the characters and settings, with a help from 88 Pictures.
Henry Jackman returned for the film's musical score. The soundtrack was released on March 8, 2022 by WaterTower Music.
Release and marketing[]
Krishna and the Twelve Elements was originally scheduled to be released on March 31, 2023, in IMAX, Dolby Cinema and RealD 3D theaters. On May 3, 2022, the title was announced at the Movie Land's 2022 Investor Day Presentation, and the teaser trailer was later released online on May 30, 2022. It will be available to stream on HBO Max 45 days after its theatrical release. In theaters, the film was accompanied with the short film featuring Loppy the Dog, Dog Water, directed by Chris Miller.
Following the commercial successes of both Elvis and DC League of Super-Pets on October 30, 2022, the film was pushed forward to March 10, 2023. Two weeks later, the first official trailer for the film was released. On January 20, 2023, the final trailer for the film was released online and in theaters in front of Screen Gems' Missing.

Krishna and the Twelve Elements was released for purchase on demand on May 5, 2023. It was also released on DVD, Blu-ray, and Ultra HD Blu-ray on May 16, 2023 by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, 95% of 110 critics gave the film a positive review, with an average rating of 8.54/10. Using a weighted average calculator, Metacritic assigned the film a score of 81 out of 100, based on 100 critics, indicating "universal acclaim".
