League of Techs is a 2022 American computer-animated science fiction caper comedy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios. It is directed by Josh Taback (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Qui Nguyen, Matt Rogers and Rodney Rothman. It stars the voices of Sam Rockwell, Diego Luna, David Harbour, Awkwafina, Matt Rogers, Patti Harrison, Alec Baldwin, Sarah Vowell and Alex Borstein.
League of Techs began its theatrical release in several international markets, starting on March 18, 2022 in China, by Tencent Pictures, and was theatrically released in the United States by Sony Pictures Releasing on April 29, 2022. The film received positive reviews from critics for its animation, humor, voice performances, and some character designs with positive comparisons to Q-Force and The Bad Guys, but criticized its lack of originality and plot. It was a box-office success, grossing $603.2 million worldwide against a budget of $88 million.

Animation services was provided by Movie Land Digital Production Services (MLDPS), who uses this computer-cel animation similar to Paperman, The Mitchells vs. the Machines, Arcane: League of Legends and The Bad Guys, and was animated using the Meander system and was rendered using Pixar's RenderMan.
Music[]
On June 22, 2021, Lorne Balfe and Henry Jackman were signed to compose the score for the film, while Skywalker Sound handled audio post-production services. The soundtrack was released on April 22, 2022 by Sony Classical Records. In March 2022, director Taback revealed on Twitter that the movie's soundtrack will incorporate songs from various artists, including Bagsy (as original songs), James T. Crawford, Vance Westlake, Pedro Capo, Alan Walker, Farruko, Newton, Kygo, Flo Rida and J. Williams.
Release[]
In October 2021, it was reported that the film would be theatrically released on April 29, 2022 in the United States. On March 1, 2022, Sony pulled the release in Russia in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Video game[]
In November 2021, Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios announced that a game based on the movie is in the works titled League of Techs: Rise of Spies by Outright Games and Electronic Arts. It published the game on April 29, 2022, the same date as the film's release. The game received positive reviews from critics.
Reception[]
On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, 100% of 110 critics gave the film a positive review, with an average rating of 9/10. Using a weighted average calculator, Metacritic assigned the film a score of 95 out of 100, based on 100 critics, indicating "universal acclaim".
