Luxo Jr. and Friends is an American computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Based on the original 1986 short film by John Lasseter and the YouTube series by PixarFan8695, the film was directed by Angus MacLane and produced by Lindsey Collins from a screenplay by MacLane and Jason Headley and a story by MacLane, Headley, and Matthew Aldrich. The film centers on Luxo Jr. and his father, Luxo Sr., who set off on an adventure to find Luxo Jr.'s long-lost mother, Mrs. Luxo, with the help of Luxo Jr.'s friends. Unlike most Pixar films, the film contains no dialogue.
The film was released in theaters on November 10, 2023. It received generally positive reviews from critics for its story, animation, characters, and humor. It grossed $198.6 million against a production budget of $100 million, becoming a box office disappointment.
