Daniel and Charlie attend the wedding of one of Danile's ex-girlfriends, Myers. During the reception, she toasts Daniel for being her lucky charm, To avoid contact with his parents and others discovering the family connection, their son changed his name from Benny Daray to Manny Schwartz and told others that his parents died in an explosion. Now a successful businessman, Manny has recently arrived at the Cape Cod house of his boss, Lenny, where he is to marry his fiancée, Grace.
Steve Harvey, a television hosts producer who worked with Daniel during his time as a celebrity, offers him $89,000 if he can organize a reunion with Manny and Abbey. Informed of his son's upcoming wedding in a newspaper, Daniel arrives at Cape Cod. Manny, who did not expect the visit, pretends Daniel is an old friend, and his father's popularity with the guests annoys him. He initially refuses to see his mother, but after Daniel convinces Grace's family to have the wedding rehearsal away from churches and Manny's friends to have the bachelor party at a strip club, Manny reconciles with him and agrees to the prison meeting. However, as a television crew arrives to film in the middle of Manny and Grace's encounter, Todd leaves in disgust without signing a release form.
The next day, Danile's office is full of women. He asks Charlie if anything's different about him; they also find that Mary is engaged thanks to Daniel being a lucky charm. His date that evening wants to have sex with him because of the charm, but he gets an emergency call from Charlie.
Danile then finds out Grace is having affairs with Frank and her brother, Frank, which she hides by giving Manny a cover story and paying Daniel $50,000 to not tell anyone. However, Daniel feels guilty for withholding the truth, and he interrupts the wedding just in time to reveal his biological connection to Todd and demands Grace reveal her infidelity and incest. Manny breaks up with her, accepts Daniel as his father quits his job, and reclaims his birth name Benny.
Benny later begins dating strip club bartender Armie and offers Daniel the money, but Daniel declines, insisting on taking responsibility for his actions.
