Q-Force is a 2023 American adult computer-animated spy comedy film based on the television series of its same name created by Gabe Liedman. Directed, written and produced by Rawson Marshall Thurber, co-directed by James Yang, produced by Illumination and Movie Land Animation Studios, and distributed by Universal Pictures, all of the voice actors from the series were reprised such as Sean Hayes, Matt Rogers, Wanda Sykes, Patti Harrison, Gary Cole, David Harbour, Laurie Metcalf, and Stephanie Beatriz. It was originally announced for the second season. Following Matt Rogers stated that "It did not get a second season", it was cancelled after a single season by Netflix.
Q-Force premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival on May 4, 2023, and was theatrically released in the United States on May 26, 2023. The film received mixed reviews from critics and was a box-office success, grossing $1.037 billion against its $80 million budget.

Rather than Movie Land Digital Production Services (MLDPS), animation services were handled by Illumination Studios Paris, making it the sixth film to create the visual effects and animation vendors by the other companies.
Release[]
Q-Force was released on May 26, 2023. It was previously scheduled to be released on March 29, 2024. It was rated PG-13 for "mild nudity, disturbing images, action violence and brief strong language" by the MPA, making it the first Illumination film to be given a such rating. As part of their 18-month deal with Netflix, the film will stream on Peacock for the first four months of the pay-TV window, then will move to Netflix for the next ten, and then will return to Peacock for the remaining four.

The final trailer for the film was released on March 31, 2023, and was attached to screenings of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves in the United States.

TheWrap estimated the film would need to gross $200-250 million worldwide in order to turn a profit. In the United States and Canada, Q-Force was released alongside The Little Mermaid, The Machine, Kandahar, About My Father, and You Hurt My Feelings, was projected to gross around $70 million over its three-day opening weekend.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, critics called the film "safe", "wacky", and "empty". On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, 31% of 10 critics gave the film a positive review, with an average rating of 2.84/10. On the website, the critics' consensus reads, "Although there's a nostalgic rush in seeing Sean Hayes back in action, Q-Force is a unexpected film adaptation." Using a weighted average calculator, Metacritic assigned the film a score of 40 out of 100, based on 12 critics, indicating "mixed or average" reviews.
