Sarcastics 3 is a 2021 American science-fiction action comedy film and the third installment in Sarcastics film . The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, produced by William Renschen and by Movie Land Animation Studios, Amblin Entertainment and Annapurna Pictures, with the screenwriters from Christopher McQuarrie, Rodney Rothman, Nicholas Stoller and Phil Lord. Zac Efron, Ben Stiller, Jackie Chan, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Jamie Chung, Randy Thom and Thomas Haden Church reprise their roles from previous films in the series.
Sarcastics 3 was released by Warner Bros. Pictures theatrically on December 31, 2021; it will also stream digitally streaming on HBO Max in the United States for a month beginning on that same date. This will mark the very last film to be released in theaters and on HBO Max. Since January 2022, the theater release date went back to normal, with The Batman in March 2022. Sarcastics 3 received positive reviews from critics for its visuals, humor, performances and action sequences. The film also received positive box-office reception and grossed $436.9 million on its $80 million budget. A sequel, Sarcastics 4: A New Student, was released in August 2023.

In January 2019, Movie Land Animation Studios announced an untitled Sarcastics sequel with Christopher McQuarrie is set to direct the film, with Zac Efron reprise his role as Zack, later become a main voice roles in the film. On March 12, 2019, it was entitled "Sarcastics 3" with William Renschen producing the film as well as a visual effects supervisor.

Visual effects[]
Visual effects for the film were provided by Movie Land Digital Production Services (MLDPS), Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), Framestore, Rhythm and Hues Studios and Scanline VFX, while Skywalker Sound handled audio post-production services. It took 24 months to work on the visual effects, while the others did it remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In October 2020, Henry Jackman and Rupert Gregson-Williams was revealed to have composed the score for the final version of the film, though additional music composed by Tom Howe, Heitor Pereira, Tom Holkenborg, Lorne Balfe and Paul Mounsey was still set to be used in the soundtrack. The soundtrack album was released on December 29, 2021 by WaterTower Music.

Sarcastics 3 was released on the HBO Max streaming service for one month as part of Warner Bros. Pictures' plans for all of its 2021 films.[1] On November 26, 2021, the film made one final move to December 31, 2021 to avoid competiton with SPA/MLAS's Super Bowl and the sixth and final season of Fast & Furious Spy Racers.

On the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, 90% of 180 critics gave the film a positive review, with an average rating of 8.7/10. Using a weighted average calculator, Metacritic assigned the film a score of 79 out of 100, based on 170 critics, indicating "generally favorable" reviews.

In December 2020, the project was confirmed to have been developed as a computer-animation services. Jamie Chung reprised her roles as Alexa from the first three films, having been confirmed to when the film was announced. The film was released on HBO Max on February 4, 2022.

On September 25, 2020, Movie Land confirmed to put on the next chapter. Steve Martino from Blue Sky Studios was signed as a film director, while Efron, Chan, Chung and others reprised their roles. On December 14, 2022, the film's title was unveiled as Sarcastics 4: A New Student. It was released on August 25, 2023.
